The Brief: to raise awareness of King’s Cross and Coal Drop’s Yard as London’s most relaxing and appealing shopping and dining destinations, increasing footfall and social media following.
The Idea: King’s Cross’ traffic-free, canalside location, generous piazzas and green areas make it a great summer location. As part of our pitch to manage the social channels for King’s Cross, we reimagined the area as King’s Cross Riviera, a sun-soaked shopping, dining and leisure space reminiscent of the south of France. This idea was then used by all agencies working on the destination to create events and activations that fit the title, such as boules courts and a canal-side cinema. Garden State London then used social media, emails and the website to promote King’s Cross Riviera and drive awareness of the district as an ideal place to be in summer.
